Rain falls and drenches the thirsty earth, sliding into cracked rocks on mountain tops. We wait for it. Reliant on rain to fall to water the earth for the harvest of fruit and food we so desperately need to survive.
But rain fall, it doesn’t only happen in the physical. We stand waiting, those with eyes to see and ears to hear, these are the mature ones waiting, for the promised Latter Rain. The rain that will supersede every former thing, every drizzle, and misty evening. And yet while the mouths of many proclaim a time of rain, there are conditions to its coming and a unique purpose for this Latter Rain fall. Not everyone with a barren, unworked, immature field will be blessed to receive this Purpose – Rain. The lazy, unfruitful people who call themselves YHWH’s people will not receive this blessed promised Outpouring. But the ones with readied fields of mature grains of heavy wheat, will be found filled and sent out to write the second book, the second acts of the apostles.
