We shy away from truly examing the woman whose womb held the growing Saviour of the world. We shy away because certain teachings have crept in to denominations, and strangled the beauty of the woman called Miryam. Yet, she was called “favoured of YHWH,” a woman who was gifted to bear the Son of God. She also had the painful privilege of nursing her son, loving him and looking to Him. Until one day she had to see His body crushed for no crime of His own. And Yeshua loved her too, one of His final thoughts on the stake was of her, His mother.
This teaching and this message is for all the mama’s out there. Whose knees are weary and souls are weak from crying out for their childrens salvation. We can learn a lot from Miryam and Yeshua’s sweet relationship, and we can take comfort in Yeshua’s understanding of what it means to be a mama, because He had a mother of His own….
