In the pages of Torah, lie the lives of beautiful characters, women whose faith and calling stirred goodness and revivial to break forth. In the chapter of Genesis 46 we find a mysterious name of a granddaughter of Jacob, child of his son Asher. This granddaughter it is taught, was a great comfort and joy to her grandpapa, her presence delighted him and her beautiful hands toyed with the strings of her harp for hours, just so that her grandpapa would smile.
But when Jacob lost his most beloved son Joseph, Serach’s harp fell silent, dust settled on its strings just as it did on Jacob’s grieving heart.
