If you have not yet read Part 1 and Part 2 of our current study of Abraham and Sarah, I would like to suggest you do so now before reading our third installment. Truly it has been a joy to journey with Yeshua in to the lives of this matriarch and patriarch of faith. This week’s study examines the verses in first Peter, to discover more about the relationship of Sarah and Abraham. While this study focuses on their lives in particular, I must add that it was necessary to conduct a study of the context of first Peter before anything else. These particular verses have been used for centuries by theologians, to encourage doctrines of heirarchy and abuse. However, these thoughts were far from Peter’s mind when he penned them, so let’s take the journey and discover the beauty of Peter’s words in its original context and how his statements on Sarah were both humourous and telling.
