We have such painted portraits in our minds of the men and women in the Bible. I am pretty sure that if we had to pull down those “painted pictures” we have acquired through wrong theology, bad sermons and crazy opinions, then we would most likely be unable to recognise the real Biblical characters. Pause for a moment and ask yourself “where did I learn about the biblical characters?” Sunday school, crèche or through a kids story book? The same can be said about our matriarch Sarah and the very many biases that prevail against her. It is time to encounter her in a new way, through eyes of a Faithful God.
