Ezekiel 20: 35 – 38
“I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face. Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, says YHWH Almighty.
And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant and I will purge out from among you the rebels and them that transgress against me…”

The rod spoken about in Ezekiel 20 is the Shepherds rod referred to in Psalm 23. David knew all about a shepherd’s rod, he carried one himself when he was out looking after his father’s sheep in the rocky plains of Israel. The shepherd’s rod was and still is used for three specific purposes even among rural sheep herders today. Our God has a rod and it will be used for a three – fold purpose in our very lives at this very hour. Are you ready to submit yourself to the rod?
