The confusion over the book of the Law vs the Book of the Covenant continues. And as such needs to be addressed and each and every scripture that has been twisted refuted. Once again just as the scriptures found in the book of Ephesians and Colossians have been twisted, those that hold to the book of the Law vs Book of the Covenant doctrine also twist other scriptures to suit their doctrine.
Biblical hermeneutics teaches that no one verse can be used to support a doctrine or theory ever, yet those that hold to this teaching continue to quote scriptures here and there to support their teaching or to better yet to back up there views. Hebrews 7:18 is one such Scripture. Yet the book of the Covenant vs book of the Law is not what was on the mind of the writer of Hebrews when they penned it. Instead there is another dichotomy that the writer is trying to draw the readers attention to. Remember they are Hebrews and the priesthood is of great importance to them. With this in mind I hope you will come to understand these scriptures better.
