Happy Shavuot!
Last night, Aliyah and Yosef celebrated the feast by looking at the parallels between Acts 1 and Peters sobering words in 2 Peter 3. Peter’s words speak to the life all believers should be living while waiting for Messiah Yeshua’s return, a reminder to pursue holiness as a daily pattern. They also challenge us with the revelation of our generational mandate. A mandate that has progressed from that given to the first disciples, but one that is vitally important for us as the final generation.

Was the Torah given on Shavuot?
As we near the wonderful biblical feast of Shavuot, we are often told, that the purpose of Shavuot was so that Israel during their wilderness sojourning could receive the Torah. Many parallels between the Sinai experience and the Acts experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit are compared and marvelled at. ” However, the purpose of this teaching is to uncover what the Bible says about this somewhat mysterious day of Shavuot and to uncover how it came to be connected with the giving of the Torah. Was the Torah really given at Mount Sinai? Is Shavuot a time to remember this moment, or is Shavuot an entirely different feast with a unique purpose? This teaching digs deep and answers these important questions!
Towards a Spirit Filled Shavuot – The Separation
There is a great refinement taking place in the body of Messiah and we need to understand why and make sure we are allowing the fire to purify us. As we wait for Shavuot we need to be praying for the fire of refinement in our lives to burn up all that is not of YHWH and to help us to be a vessel worthy of His glory. In this teaching, Yosef takes a look at the life of Moses as it relates to maturity and suffering as a tool of YHWH to build our character. The question we all have to answer is do we have the right garments on?

Towards a Spirit Filled Shavuot
This special season leading to Shavuot is filled with goodness and expectation, and we can take hold of this with open hands and hearts. This Shavuot, is a time to be filled with the Spirit so that our present fears and doubts can be overtaken with power and boldness. A power and boldness that will lead us to proclaim aloud the Name of our Messiah, and the message of reconciliation in that Name. This message is a stirring one that will empower you to take hold of this Shavuot and be changed with a greater fire and zeal.
