This week we entered a new biblical month, and with this newness we entered a time period leading us towards the historical destruction of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. While this time period mirrors the challenges, trials and often destructive circumstances life brings us, this new month is called “Av,” or Father. In this week’s Restoration Hour, Aliyah and Yosef discuss the trials of life and the seeming absence of God while in those trials. Yosef also digs deep in to the need for holiness as we seek to walk with our Father and how this looks when we are in the trenches of life. Last night, Aliyah and Yosef celebrated the feast by looking at the parallels between Acts 1 and Peters sobering words in 2 Peter 3. Peter’s words speak to the life all believers should be living while waiting for Messiah Yeshua’s return, a reminder to pursue holiness as a daily pattern. They also challenge us with the revelation of our generational mandate. A mandate that has progressed from that given to the first disciples, but one that is vitally important for us as the final generation.
This week on the Restoration Hour, it's an impartation as Aliyah and Yosef talk about spiritual gifts. Throughout the first and second letters written to Timothy, Paul continues to encourage his young mentee to fan into flame the gifts given to him, the deep spiritual gifts that will determine the salvation of others. Woven throughout these letters is warrior language, military messages, and commands that speak to us today. Unpacking these commands as they relate to our spiritual gifts and purpose, is at the heart of this message. Each offering holds spiritual significance that we can learn from. They also dig deeply into the meaning of the red heifer offering and how it relates to Yeshua. The depth of the red heifer sacrifice has always been a mystery to many, but its connection with our purification, holiness and walk of truth is being revealed to those in covenant with Him.
