First Sheaf (also known as First Fruits) is not an annual Sabbath, but it is the day when the High Priest of Israel lifted up a handful of the ‘first fruits’ of the spring harvest, the barley grain, to YHWH (Lev. 23:9-11). It’s the day Yeshua rose from the dead and was first seen alive, and it was also the day of His first ascension into Heaven (Jn. 20:17; cf. Acts 1:1-12). Yeshua is the first sheaf (first fruits) to rise from the dead, glorified (1st Cor. 15:20, 23).
